The PixMetro Solo trial runs every Solo feature without a hardware key (dongle). Here are the steps from installation to your first measurement.
What you need
- Windows 10 64-bit or later
- A UVC/WDM camera (USB webcam, industrial USB camera, etc.)
- .NET Framework 4.8 — installed during setup if missing.
Trial terms
- Up to 180 minutes (3 hours) of cumulative run time. Closing and reopening continues the count. You are warned when 5 minutes remain.
- It ends 14 days after the first launch, even if time remains. Installing without running does not count.
- A DEMO mark appears on the screen, reports, Excel and DXF output. It is not added to the images used for measuring, so measured values are unaffected.
- After it ends, the screen and saved models stay viewable. Only measuring and saving new models are blocked.
Steps
- Get the installer from the trial download page and run it. The default location is
C:\Program Files\Next AOI\PixMetro Solo Demo. - Start the app to see the camera image. If several cameras are found, the Select Camera window appears first and your choice becomes the default.
- If there is no calibration, a notice appears; OK takes you straight to the calibration screen. You need a reference gauge of known length.
- Turn on Edit Model and draw tools — point, line, circle, arc — on the edges in the image to build a model. When you finish editing, the model is saved automatically.
- Place a part and press Measure. The best-matching model is selected automatically and values and judgement appear.
